2023 Waterski Season Update
With the water levels low, and a vacation later this month, my waterski season is ending much earlier than last year. On the bright side, I made some great progress. Completing around 90 sets this season, my PB’s were:
55km/h (34mph)
2 @ 14.25m (28’ off)
58km/h (36mph)
1 @ 14.25m (28’ off)
I think I spent too much time playing with 18.25m (15’ off) at 58km/h (36mph). Also, breaking my ski right when I started running that pass consistently didn’t help.
Sadly, the water levels meant we had to cancel our fall tournament so I don’t have a tournament score for this year. I did, however, get better at driving the boat for shorter-line skiers and made significant improvements at maneuvering the boat on land (in and out of the water, on a trailer, behind a truck).
Updated 2023-12-29: Added update about driving.
